Announcing an evening of poetic stylings by Mary Jane Nealon and Brian Blanchfield. Friday, Dec 11, 7 pm.

Brian Blanchfield is the author of Not Even Then, a book of poetry published by University of California Press, and has poems and essays published or forthcoming in numerous magazines, including Bookforum,
Harper’s Magazine, Fence, Ploughshares, Volt, Animal Shelter, and Or: A Literary Tabloid. He was the 2009 Richard Hugo Fellow at the University of Montana, where he currently teaches in the creative writing program.

Mary Jane Nealon has published two collections of poetry:  Rogue Apostle (2000) and Immaculate Fuel (2004) from Four Way Books, New York. She received two fellowships from The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and an artist grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation.  She received her MFA from Warren Wilson College and was chosen for the Lucille Medwick Memorial award from the Poetry Society of America.  In 2005, she was an the Amy Lowell Poetry Traveling Scholar, living and writing in Ireland and New Zealand.

Rob Schlegel’s THE LESSER FIELDS

Many of you know Rob Schlegel from his involvement in the New Lakes Reading Series. Rob’s book of poems, The Lesser Fields, has been published by the University of Colorado Press, and is the winner of the 2009 Colorado Prize for Poetry.
